Are you looking for a therapist in Budapest?I am a Hungarian-American native-speaker bilingual psychologist.
In my private practice, I offer primarily short-term, goal-oriented therapy addressing specific issues and problems my clients bring, such as depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties and specific life-stage problems, especially for those living abroad or struggling with intercultural issues in their relationships. I work with individuals and couples of all backgrounds and orientations. Alternatively, I offer longer-term, exploratory therapy for those with diffuse concerns about their lives, and how to make the most of their situations.
I am a fully trained psychologist, with a Master’s degree from Cornell University in Psychology and a certificate from the Hungarian Cognitive and Behavior Therapy Association in cognitive-behavior therapy. I have been working in Hungary as a psychologist since 2005.
Being a psychologist, I cannot prescribe medication, but if necessary, I am able to refer you to English-speaking Hungarian psychiatrists who can.
My initial consultation is always 60 minutes long. Subsequent sessions may last 60 or 90 minutes, depending on mutual agreement and may be scheduled flexibly once or twice a week, or once or twice a month, based on individual need.
I charge 10 000 HUF per 60 minutes, and offer a 15% discount for 4 pre-paid sessions. I also offer sliding scale payments for individuals facing financial difficulties as much as my schedule permits.
My practice is located centrally in the 12th district of Budapest, near Moszkva tér.
